The Skerries 100 Road Races are the oldest and most prestigious of all national Road Races in Ireland. The event is a magnet for riders who are drawn by its history, real racing atmosphere and racing challenges.

Skerries Historical Society presents a lecture by Morgan Llywelyn. Morgan Llywelyn has written more than 20 internationally published novels. Lion of Ireland in 1980 was her first best seller and established her reputation. In 1993 she was named as Ireland’s nominee for the Nobel Prize for Literature. Published in 1998 her novel 1916 was the first of a five volume series on Ireland in the 20th Century.
