About

The largest island in the  Fingal Dublin Coast chain, Lambay island is located near Portrane. The island was purchased by the  Baring family in 1904. An internationally recognized seabird colony, Lambay Island supports a Greylag Goose population and is also an important  conservation area for the Grey Seal. These wildlife preservation policies continue to this day.

The conservation efforts taking place here may limit the level of freedom that travelers have in these protected areas. That being said, visitors interested in traveling to these areas are guaranteed an unforgettable experience!
